Dismissal and Pickup:
Students will assemble near the main entrance foyer of the school by the Enrichment Program Onsite Coordinator. Parents/Authorized Individuals will enter through the main door, one at a time, by providing a government-issued photo ID and signing out their students. Plan to arrive early to avoid delays with the sign out and pickup process
Parking is available in the school parking lot or the bus loop.
Standards of Behavior:
All students are expected to conform to regular classroom and school rules and regulations in order to ensure that all participating students in the Enrichment Program not only enjoy the experience but also feel safe and secure.
In the event a student engages in disruptive behaviors that the EP Instructor feels is inappropriate, the parent/guardian will be notified immediately. Should the parent/guardian need to be contacted a third time, the student may be removed from the remainder of the EP program. These behaviors include but are not limited to: inappropriate physical contact, blatant disrespect toward the Instructor or other students, refusal to follow instructions, use of inappropriate language, and destruction of property.
Certain behaviors will not be tolerated and may result in an immediate removal, including but not limited to: name calling, assault of any kind, verbal and nonverbal threats, and discriminatory statements or behaviors.
Parent/guardian will be charged $2/minute for any pickup delays beyond 7:40pm for a maximum amount of $30 for each incident. An invoice will be sent to the parent for late pickups. Failure to pay the late pickup fee before the student's next EP session will result in the student not being allowed into the next EP session. After a third occurrence of late pickup, the student will automatically be unenrolled from the remainder of the Enrichment Program.
The enforcement of the removal and unenrollment policies is at the sole discretion of SHMS PTO. No refunds will be provided for the sessions missed as a result of the removal or unenrollment.
Parents/Guardians are requested to keep their primary or cell phones ON when the EP sessions are in progress. The school clinic is closed during the Enrichment Programs. The EP Instructors and the EP Onsite Coordinators will contact the parents and the designated emergency contact using the phone numbers listed in the EP registration form should there be a need for an urgent contact. If necessary, the EP Instructors and the EP Onsite Coordinators will call 911.
