Stone Hill math Tournament May 1st week

 

Session Structure

 

Each session will be 1.5 hours, comprising the following components:

Lecture (30-50 minutes)

  • Instructor-led presentation of focused topics
  • Sample problem solving with interactive class discussion

Short Break (10-15 minutes)

  • Demonstration of interesting math-related topics designed to engagestudents
  • Exemplary topics may include Monty Hall, Infinity, Zeller’s Algorithm,Math Tricks, Countdown Round, etc.

Group Activities and Consulting (30-50 minutes)

  • Small group practice and review on targeted problem sets
  • Individual consulting while students work in groups (later weeks)Session Structure and Lecture Topics may vary based on the instructor’s observation of the class needs and progress
